The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) was established in 2007 at the Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology, currently admitting 30 students. The department offers a comprehensive Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, providing students with a solid foundation in electrical and electronics principles and real-time application design.

PE01 To provide students with a solid foundation in mathematical, scientific, and engineering fundamentals needed to solve engineering problems.

PE02 To guide the students to comprehend, analyze, and solve new technical challenges in the electrical and electronics engineering field by continuously updating their knowledge.

PE03 To realize the value of service to the industry and society through the knowledge acquired.

PE04 To create successful and sustainable entrepreneurs for the future world with a sound ethical attitude, well equipped with good communication and teamwork skills.

PO1 Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals to find the solution for complex electrical engineering problems.

PO2 Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex electrical engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3 Design and Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems or system components or processes related to electrical engineering that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4 Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments in electrical engineering, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5 Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and information technology tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering problems in electrical engineering with an understanding of the limitations.

PO6 The Engineer and Society: Apply contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice.

PO7 Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of professional production and industrial engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.

PO8 Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

PO9 Individual and Team Work: Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse teams as well as in multidisciplinary settings.

PO10 Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

PO11 Project Management and Finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

PO12 Lifelong Learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological change.

PSO's

PSO1 The graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and hands-on competence in design, testing, and application of electrical as well as electronics engineering.

PSO2 The graduates will be able to explore scientific theories, ideas, and new technologies in computer programming and also apply the knowledge of physics, chemistry, and mathematics in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.

PSO3 The graduates will be able to develop new project ideas and implement them as a team for social welfare, thereby improving their presentation and communication skills in an ethical way.
