•To establish an Artificial Intelligence and Data Science based centre of Excellence to meet the challenges in interdisciplinary applications.

The following Programme Educational Objectives are designed based on the department Mission.

PE01 To impart a strong foundation in basic sciences, mathematics, artificial intelligence, data science, and statistics to analyze and solve engineering problems.

PE02 To equip students with essential technical competencies to pursue pioneering research in the field of artificial intelligence and data science.

PE03 To exhibit leadership qualities, enable lifelong learning, and engage in collaborations in multidisciplinary teams with high ethical values.

PO1 Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals to find the solution for complex engineering problems.

PO2 Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3 Design and Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems or system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4 Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and methods including the design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5 Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering problems with an understanding of the limitations.
